As a doula, I am there to fully support you in every way. You will be advocated for, confident asking for what you desire, & well prepared long before the first contraction. Not only are you bringing a baby into the world, but also a mother. It is the most joyous moment that you should be able to relish. Allow me to care for the small things that somehow make the biggest difference, like making sure your water cup is filled, your birth preferences are respected, and your husband is fed. Offering physical support and encouragement, I will come alongside you and your provider to make sure that you can soak in the moment and celebrate the day.

Your birth story captured in still frames that honor both the big and quiet moments. Alongside full doula support, you’ll receive a professional documentary-style photo collection telling the story of your child’s arrival.

Doula-tog is a doula that is also your birth photographer. Combining the roles means you have a trusted person in your sacred space that is serving you, protecting your space, and documenting the story as it unfolds in raw still shots.
You then receive beautiful photos that show you just how strong you are as a mother, how supported you were by the people that held you, and how cherished you are by the new baby in your arms.
Adding a documentary birth video pulls the full story together. I will retell your journey in a tasteful storytelling way that allows you to show your kids year after year the way their life began.

I offer a variety of class options teaching the Birth Boot Camp curriculum that is laid out beautifully for you to walk out of class knowing exactly how to confidently make decisions. It is more than a method, it an evidence based course that sets you up for staying in control of your birth, no matter how unpredictable this process can be. You’re doing an incredible job growing your tiny human already! Let’s make sure you feel prepared for the rest of pregnancy, birth and life with your new baby!

My name is Miranda Slaydon!
I grew up in Bryan and now live out on a small homestead in Robertson county with my husband and two daughters + a few too many chickens and family milk cows! My love for caring for mothers and families through birth and documenting the first moments and memories grew deep after the birth of my own three girls. Becoming a certified doula was something that I researched a good bit, but finally jumped in with two feet when my brother and sister-in-law invited me into their beautiful birth space to support and document the arrival of their first son. This moment fanned the flame and I have been supporting mothers ever since.
